The number of spells in Baldur’s Gate 3 will turn your head
The early version of Baldur’s Gate 3 offers 177 spells, which in itself is already a lot. However, in a full -fledged release of the game they can be expected much more. Developers from Larian Studios recently announced that more than 400 additional spells will appear with an official release in the game. That is, in Baldur’s Gate 3 there will be twice as much as in Baldur’s Gate 2, which leads to thoughts about the diversity and creativity of solutions available to players.
Spells are the key part of the Baldur’s Gate 3 mechanics, since they affect the gameplay, tactics and role of individual characters. The correct balance of so many different spells is not an easy task for the developer team. However, Larian Studios is known for its approach, allowing some mechanics to work a little non -standard, and this cannot but rejoice.
However, spells in the world of Dungeons & Dragons are not limited to powerful attacks. There are spells, for example, Commune, allowing you to ask questions to deities and receive answers from them. The introduction of such non -standard mechanics in a video game would be a serious challenge for developers, but at the same time it would open up amazing opportunities for the players (so far the Commune spell has not been confirmed in BG 3).
The presence of more than 600 spells in the full version of Baldur’s Gate 3 promises to become a unique experience for fans of magic and role -playing games. The choice of so many magic spells will certainly create countless opportunities in terms of gameplay and solving problems. The expectations from the BG 3 are high, but the developers have already shown more than once (not least with the help of Divinity: Original Sin 2) that they can solve the problems of a creative approach and balance in their games. It is possible that Baldur’s Gate 3 will give players a magic of such a scale as they have not yet experienced.
The release of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be held on a PC on August 3, and on the PS5 console on September 6.
